DIY: Fried Rice, Jacob's Edition

Well, apparently dark week is not that dark...yet. I still manage to leave the office around 6 something or 7; which mean there is till the Sun waiting outside the office.

Downside it, until my salary comes out this end of month, for this two weeks I think I need to live like an Otaku - stay at home and stick the head to the idiot box. I need to spend economically, which mean better dine at home.

My mum does not cook in weekdays, she need to baby sit a baby and a pig. For weekdays, we got supply from a home cook catering service. The so call home cook means this food is cook in someones home, but it will taste like our national fast food - Mixed Rice. Apparently this fast food business also got delivery service one ler.

In a day, dinner is the only meal to have higher probability to eat at home. And since eat at home, mixed rice quality thing, I shall not address as food. Those are chemical substance my family ingest to fuel up. So, to be able to save money, eat at home but not those chemical substance, I need to cook myself~!

Check in the fridge, I found that we have enough material to make the Fried Rice, the very fisrt dish I learn't to cook15 years ago~ wahahahahahahahahaha~

For this dish, we need a) RICE
and EGG (a must), cili padi (optional), sausages slice (optional), shrimps (optional) and spring onion (not a must, but better have).

Make sure that you have some supply of oil, and seasoning like soy sauce, salt, pepper and sesame oil.

Check the time: 2027 hours...START!!!!!
First thing, heat up the wok and some oil (depends on the amount of your material). This is enough for two servings.

When you see it started to smoke, mean it is very hot, reduce the heat, and put in sausages, then followed by the shrimps. Stir fried them for a while.

A while is enough, then break an egg and dump its content into the wok. The shell you can throw away. Stir fried it fast. Let those sausages, shrimps and egg mixed together.

Before the egg fully cooked, pour in the rice quickly. Stir fast. If you find some rice balls formed, press it with spatula. Make sure there is no rice ball.

Now we can put the cili padi and some salt or soy sauce or both. How much will depend on you taste. Since soy sauce is dark, the darker your rice get from the sauce's coloring, the saltier it will be lo. Stir the rice to mixed them up. You can add more sauce later if find the color too plain.

When we hear sound effects like "blik blak blik blak" and some rice starting to jumps like jumping beans, means you rice is hot enough and is ready.

The last touch will be, pepper, sesame oil and spring onion. The three material with a strong aroma. Mixed the rice in fast motion for a few seconds and shut down the stove.

Transfer the rice to a dish...tidy it up to be more presentable.
See our golden fried rice...
A finishing touch will be a little fresh spring onion and a little chili sauce.
Tada~ Jacob Fried Rice...(no biscuit added) wahahahahahahahaha~ my dinner~!!!!

Check the time again, 2034 hours.

7 minutes total. Simple~ Bon Appetite.
