ROTF Megatron - Leader Class

Transformers : Revenge of The Fallen will be opening this month and some of the toys already arrived~!

Don't care if it's burning my wallet, I need to get them!

Start of, after much consideration and price survey, I settle on the first Leader class toy. It is the new Megatron. The leader class from the previous movie was so bad none of its review is positive. But it is not the case with this new Megatron. Even the earlier leaked image of it has put people in awe.

It does looks a bit cacat with the left arm being relatively skinny. But there is a canon in the right arm and that is what defines Megatron. He looks huge, massive, strong and brutal where the previous figures looks like Ming is Flash Gordon.

This time they ditch the Automorph gimmick (which I kind of like, for certain robots) and replaced with Mech Alive gimmick. Push a certain lever or button and we can see the internal gear moving. And as usual for Leader class, it also have some light and sound effect - I am Megatron!!!

Overall it is a flexible robot, but the bummer is the right arm can't be bent and this limits the number of pose we can do.

In addition to the launchable canon in the right arm, it also has hidden swords. Will he be having a sword fight with Prime in the movie?

It is a super highly detail look. The endoskeleton design of this is just superb. While the old Leader Megatron (which I wisely decided not to have) is a sore to the eyes, this is plain eye candy.

Now it transforms into a Cybertron Tanker. Tank is also one of Megatron's alternate mode in certain animated show. This is a huge tanker and it means business.

I think they deliberately have his head showed. Maybe it's the same in the movie. But I find it a bit funny and parody like. Thing is, then it can show emotion even in vehicle form! Imagine a tank with a killer's face crushing towards you!

It is said that due to the Allspark being insert into Megatron's chest in the previous movie resulting in killing him. But when he is resurrected, some Allspark effect actually made him stronger. So far, among the few robot already in market and from the images of other yet to come toys...this Megatron looks like the strongest of all. Hope that he can really bring some tough challenge to the Autobots!
